Bible verse about dating a non-believer / someone from a different religion

Is it okay to date a non-believer? What does the Bible say about dating a non-believer? What does the Bible say about marrying a non-believer? Can I have children with a non-believer?

To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her.
And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy. But if the unbeliever leaves, let him do so. A believing man or woman is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace.
    1 Corinthians 7:12 - 15
What does the Bible verse mean?
This Bible verse could be interpreted as saying that God will not punish you or your children for marrying a non-believer or someone who follows a different faith. God wants the best for us and the easiest path for us. The easier path would be to marry a fellow Christian or someone with the same beliefs in order to avoid many difficulties, complexities or challenges (read here for more on this). If you can manage a relationship with a non-believer or someone from a different religion while keeping God as a first priority and maintaining your life as a dedicated believer then you are more then welcome to marry a non-believer.
