Everything happens for a reason – there can be no saying
closer to the truth than this. It is highly applicable to relationships too. I
strongly believe that everyone you cross paths with or who you get into any
form of relationship with comes into your life for a reason. We can all learn
lessons from these people. Sometimes it’s good lessons; ones that make you
smile and wanna cherish them forever, other times it’s hard lessons; ones that
hurt and make you wanna wish they’d never happened. Bottom line is – you live
you learn.
One lesson which can be highly bitter-sweet is the one of
meeting the right person at the wrong time. Timing is everything when it comes
to love and relationships. It has the power to make or break you. Sometimes you
meet the perfect person but the timing is completely off and you can’t be
together forever: Maybe it’s on a vacation and the summer vacation ends along
with your romance, Maybe he / she has to leave to study or work abroad in a
predetermined time or maybe you have the unfortunate case of having him or she
pass away. Either way, you learn the best lessons from these people.
If you close pay attention you’ll realise that these are the
relationships you’ll often remember forever. They weren’t tainted, they didn’t
end badly or on sour footing. They ended due to circumstance. Circumstance and
fate. Maybe you were meant to learn that “perfect” is possible, that you are
worthy to be loved, or that you can love again. You’re mean to learn. Don’t
view the right one at the wrong time as having loved and lost. View it as
having loved and learnt. Remember each moment, cherish it deeply and allow it
to make you a better person.
