What is Easter? What is Good Friday? - Thought for the day

What is Easter? What is Good Friday? Why is it celebrated? Why do Christians celebrate it?

Put simply, Good Friday is the day that Jesus Christ (the ultimate and only Lord and Saviour) was crucified and died upon a cross to save us from our sins.
Easter is used to celebrate the period or day on which Jesus Christ rose from the dead ultimately conquering death and sin once and for all.
Jesus Christ

The period of Easter and the day Good Friday are likely to be the most important of all. They demonstrate to us what TRUE LOVE really is.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
Through Jesus Christ being the ultimate sacrifice on the cross all those years ago we are all saved and spared a horrible after life of pain and torture. Through the mercy of God in sending His Son to save us we are saved from death and obtain everlasting life through the blood of Jesus.

We have received this glorious gift if we are only to believe in Jesus and in God through Jesus with all our hearts. We can be with Jesus one day and thank Him in person for trading His life for ours if we accept Him into our lives today.
"If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved " Romans 10:9

Accept Jesus in Your life today. He is the only one who can save us. We are saved through His blood and Easter is there to remind us of that.
