Am I in love? How do I know if I'm in love? Do I love him or her?
Being in love is one of the greatest feelings in the world. As can be easily guessed, the only thing better then the feeling of being in love is being able to feel that same love right back.
It's important to know that there is a difference between love and infatuation.
Briefly infatuation can often be confused with love due to the fact that they carry similar characteristics. The biggest way of knowing the difference, however is hard times and time. If hard times come and time passes but you're feelings don't change (unless they become stronger) then you can be guaranteed that it's love that you feel.
Signs that you're in love
1. He/She is the first thing you think about when you wake up and the last thing you think about at night.
2. You've known him/her for a while (at least a few months - the longer the better).
3. You're feelings don't change when you see him/her laid back (not dressed up, made up or fancy - just casual being him / herself).
4. You're feelings don't change when you have an argument or fight (there's still no one else you'd rather be with - you still feel deeply attached to him / her).
5. You'd always stand up for him/her.
6. You'd never do anything to hurt him/her (this includes lying, cheating or physical or emotional hurt).
7. You find yourself constantly thinking about him/her.
8. You find reason/excuses to always talk about or bring up him/her in a conversation.
9. All you're friends know about him/her. Also, you've told you're family about him/her or plan on doing so.
10. You always see the best in him/her even when everyone else tells you otherwise.
Love is different for many people and often confused with infatuation. The only true demonstration of love and the confirmation of it is time. While infatuation and similar feelings may disappear or fade, True Love never dies. It remains and only grows stronger. Time is the only way of knowing for sure.
