Lock-down / Quarantine With Your Partner: Keeping Your Relationship / Marriage Together During Corona Virus / Covid-19 Lock-down

How can I avoid fights with my partner during the lock-down? How will we manage being together 24/7 during the lock-down? How will my partner and I survive been on lock down together for so long? How can I avoid fights with my partner during lock-down / Quarantine?

The Corona Virus or Covid-19 struggle is real. Besides the very real fight against the virus and trying to avoid getting sick or having one of your loves ones get sick, you need to cope with the lock down or other extreme measures put in place to try and curb the disease or stop the spread of it.

If you do find yourself experiencing a lock down you may be forced into a 24/7 with your partner which may be something completely foreign to you. This could be a good or bad thing of course.

On the plus side you will definitely get to spend more time together which means getting to make more memories and enjoy each other's company. You will also be able to learn more about your partner depending on how long you've been together.

On the down side, especially if you're not used to spending that much time together, you might bump into more misunderstandings, fights or arguments.

This article will list 5 ways you could ensure that the lock-down goes a little smoother and more drama free for you as a couple.

1. Keep busy
If you will be working from home, this will already take up some of your time. Spend time working and allow a bit of distance between the two of you. If you will not be working from home, work on other things such as cleaning around your home, cooking, baking or DIY crafts and decor.

2. Try not to be easily angered or to sweat the little things.
Remind yourself that you're both doing the best you can under the circumstances. Everyone has lazy days,  grumpy days, moody days and tired days. Give your partner a pass every now and then and avoid getting into a fight over something silly.

3. Have some fun.

There are many ways that you can add some good ol' fun in your relationship. Bring your inner child to the forefront or set that teenager deep down inside free.

- Play board games
- Play pen and paper games
- Play some Question Games for couples

Board games will give your brain some exercise time as well as lighten the mood depending on what you're playing.

Couples question games on the other hand are bound to be highly positive for your relationship. Depending on the questions you ask, you are sure to learn something new about your partner, have a laugh at a silly question or answer or get into "the mood" with any sensual or kinky questions or answers. You can find many question ideas online or create your own.

Examples of some questions are:
  • What is the one thing you find irresistible about me?
  • Who is the one family member in my family who annoys you?
  • What would you do if you won a million dollars?
  • What is the one thing you dislike most about yourself?
  • Where is the one place you would like to visit one day?
  • What was your first impression of me when we met for the first time?
4. Have a date night
You can never add enough spark or spice to your relationship romance. Have a lock-down date night. Here are a few ideas for after the kids have gone to bed (if you have any):
  • Have a candlelight dinner
Light some candles and have a romantic sit down inner at the dinner table or place the candles around you and have a floor date on some cushions or a blanket on the floor.
  • Have a movie experience
Grab some popcorn, drinks and other tasty snacks and cuddle up in front of the TV. You could snuggle up on the couch or on a comfy spot on the floor (my favorite). Watch something sweet and Romantic or something scary that is bound to have you tucked tightly in your partners arms.
  • Have a night under the stars
Why not spend the evening on a blanket under the stars enjoying the pace and quiet while treasuring each others company.
  • Go Camping
Why not pitch up a tent in your bank yard, light a fire and have a camping experience? You may be on lock down but you can still enjoy the experience of a camp and the fresh air outside. There is nothing better then spending the night tightly squeezed against your partner in a little tent.
5. Spice up things in the bedroom
There are a million ways you could spice things up in the bedroom. You need only to do a quick google search to find tons of ideas.
 A few quick ideas are:
  • Download some spicy apps
These could include Kulma Sultra apps or romantic games and quizzes.
  • Play some spicy games
There are tons of games you could play including role playing, quizzes, Truth or Dare, cards etc
